Will Solana hit $110 in October? Market odds slip to 70% as SOL trades near $103

Solana still has time to hit $110 in October, but it now needs a rebound. SOL traded around $103.48 on Oct 18, about 6% below the threshold, according to Blockchain.News. The token already cleared $110 this month, setting an October high near $123.7 on Oct 2, but that earlier peak does not settle the market's remaining question.

Polymarket's "↑ 110" contract in "What price will Solana hit in October?" fell from 79% to 70% over three days, a drop of 9 percentage points. A 70% implied probability prices SOL as a strong favorite to tag $110 before the Nov 1 resolution, not a sure thing.

ETF outflows and hot CPI weigh on Solana

Two pressures dominate recent coverage. US spot Solana ETFs extended their outflow streak to ten consecutive days, Block Stream Media reported on Oct 19. On the macro side, US September inflation printed at 3.7% against a 3.6% forecast, and KuCoin News tied SOL's slide to that CPI data alongside weaker network activity. The hotter print revived talk of a Fed hike at the Oct 27-28 meeting.

The damage shows on the chart. SOL fell to roughly $102-103 after a one-day drop of roughly 5% to 6.8% on Oct 12, according to 247 Wall St. and TokenPost. Blockchain.News places key support near $99-101 and resistance at $105-107, noting oversold signals near the lower Bollinger Band and Binance open interest at $960M. CoinMarketCap also flags a test of the $100 level.

These are concurrent pressures cited in coverage. The sources do not establish that they caused the odds change.

Alpenglow upgrade on Oct 21 is the next test for the $110 market

The Alpenglow upgrade, scheduled for Oct 21, is the one dated network catalyst before resolution. It replaces TowerBFT with Votor and targets finality of roughly 150 milliseconds, according to Analytics Insight. CoinMarketCap also points to governance proposals to double the disinflation rate.

The upgrade does not guarantee a rally. SOL must climb about 6% from $103.48 to touch $110, first breaking the $105-107 resistance band. A continued ETF outflow streak or another hawkish macro signal before the Fed meeting would work against that move, while a close below $100 support would widen the gap.
