- Traders are cooling on Robinhood reaching 29.4 million funded customers this year, as monthly growth runs at about half the needed pace.
Will Robinhood Reach 29.4 Million Funded Customers in 2026?
Not on the current pace. In the Kalshi market on Robinhood funded customers in 2026, the broker reported 28.6 million funded customers at the end of August 2026, about 800,000 below the 29.4 million threshold, according to its August operating data. August added roughly 120,000 customers. July added about 80,000, bringing the count to 28.5 million, per Robinhood's July operating data.
On Kalshi, the "Above 29.4 million" contract traded at 45% on Oct. 14, down 11 percentage points from 56% three days earlier, after touching a period low of 44%. We could not establish a specific catalyst for the drop inside that window. The August figures were released on Sept. 10, well before the move.

How the 800,000 Gap Compares With Robinhood's Recent Monthly Growth
At the recent pace of roughly 100,000 a month, closing an 800,000 gap would take about eight months. Across the observed range of 80,000 to 120,000, the gap represents 6.7 to 10 months. This is arithmetic on reported figures, not a forecast.
If the market settles on full-year 2026 data, four monthly reports (September through December) remain. That would require about 200,000 net adds a month, roughly double the July and August pace. The market's 45% implied probability prices a meaningful chance of that acceleration. Readers should confirm which report and date govern settlement on the market page; the contract's listed resolution date is Jan. 31, 2028.
Chart shows market-implied probability for the "Above 29.4 million" outcome, not a projection of customer counts.
The slowdown contrasts with stronger financial results. Robinhood's second-quarter 2026 report showed funded customers up 1.9 million, or 7%, year over year to 28.4 million, alongside revenue up 32% to $1.31 billion and a record 4.8 million Gold subscribers. Earlier in the year, May growth ran near 110,000, lifting the total to 27.7 million, per the May operating data. Monthly additions have held in the low six figures for months.
Do Trump Accounts Count as Robinhood Funded Customers?
Based on Robinhood's reporting, no. Trump Accounts launched July 4, 2026, drawing more than 7 million sign-ups and about $1.5 billion in deposits, but Robinhood reports those figures separately from its funded customer count. That exclusion explains why the July and August totals rose by only 80,000 to 120,000 despite millions of new Trump Account sign-ups. Traders tracking the full live outcome range can follow the Robinhood funded customers in 2026 market. They should check both the contract's resolution rules and Robinhood's monthly definitions before assuming any new account type will count toward the 29.4 million threshold.
