Will the Tennessee Titans Have the NFL's Worst Record in 2026? Odds Fell to 26% Despite an 0-5 Start

The Tennessee Titans are one of three winless teams, not a clear favorite for the league's worst record. A 26-3 home loss to Houston dropped Tennessee to 0-5, its worst start since opening 0-6 in 2009, according to Sports Illustrated. Miami and the LA Chargers are also 0-5.

On Kalshi's "Pro Football Worst Regular Season Record?" market, Tennessee's implied probability fell from 34% to 26% over the three days ending Oct. 15, a drop of roughly 8 percentage points.

The loss did not make Tennessee less likely to be bad. It made Tennessee one of several equally bad teams, and the market splits the outcome among them.

Miami and the LA Chargers Are Also Winless, Which Splits the Worst-Record Field

Tennessee's numbers are poor on their own: 58 points scored and 109 allowed through five games, a net of -51, per StatsNext. The offense managed three points against Houston, which entered the game 0-4 and left with its first win. Losses of 10-23 to the Jets, 20-24 to Philadelphia, 7-12 at the Giants and 18-24 at Baltimore preceded it.

The difference is that 0-5 no longer separates Tennessee from the pack. With Miami and the Chargers matching the record, a single contract on Tennessee competes with at least two others for the same outcome. The sources do not establish exact price changes for the Miami or Chargers contracts, so we cannot confirm how much probability shifted to each.

Miami's situation adds one wrinkle. Dolphins coach Jeff Hafley said he is not considering a quarterback change entering the team's bye, ESPN reported, and the club signed quarterback Brady Cook to its practice squad on Oct. 13, per its transactions page. A bye week also freezes Miami at 0-5 while Tennessee and the Chargers play.

What Could Move Tennessee's Worst-Record Odds Next

The mechanism is simple: the worst-record market rewards relative failure. If Miami or the Chargers win a game, the winless field narrows and Tennessee's share could rise. If both keep losing alongside the Titans, the probability stays divided and Tennessee's price could fall further. That describes how the price works, not a forecast.

Tennessee's own direction matters too. First-year coach Robert Saleh is publicly preaching patience, AP reported, while SI notes questions about 2025 No. 1 pick Cam Ward's long-term future. A Ward benching or a breakthrough win would both register in the Pro Football Worst Regular Season Record market, which resolves Feb. 22, 2027.

Beyond the other winless teams, we could not establish a specific cause for the three-day move.
